This project has been designed to be a portal for information about the Gayles village that is not easily available elsewhere. A Wikipedia page exists, but take the information with a pinch of salt
Why the .info rather than .co.uk? Cybersquatters buy domains when they become available (for the basic .co.uk rate) with no intention of using the domain ever. If you want to use this domain (Gayles.co.uk) for your website, then of course this domain will become available (for a price …)
tl;dr – it’s complicated
The domain name info is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) in the Domain Name System (DNS) of the Internet. The name is derived from information, though registration requirements do not prescribe any particular theme.
We are always on the look out for information and photos of ‘Old Gayles’. If you have any you would like to share, then please get in touch. All photos will be displayed with attribution and the copyright remains with the owner.
Any omissions are my fault, as indeed any errors should land up at my door. External links should be current but as with all things internet, they may break from time to time 1 Please let me know if this is the case
Please change aatt in email address to @ (robot spam preventer) before sending email
My links to the Dalton wine club had just been broken as the DaltonandGayles Village website seem to have changed their host to a Google.sites website. I have now fixed this↩
