Start at the phone box as usual.
\nThe walk follows the higher route to the east and through the sandstone quarry<\/p>\n

Instead of turning left, down the hill, turn right and walk up the unpaved road up the hill.<\/p>\n

At the top, turn left with MOD ranges on your right.

Continue past Grove Gill House and turn left down the bridleway (a grassy track).
\nGo through a couple of field gates and onto a farm track.
\n

a bit disconcerting when you find this sign on the gate as you leave the field in question<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n

Through another gate and onto the road.<\/p>\n

well camouflaged entrance to farm track if you are walking this route in reverse<\/figcaption><\/figure>
\nHead west to The Lodge and follow the route back to Gayles Hall along the lower drove track.<\/p>\n
